Evening Star hit the party scene in 2002 and the dancing hasn't stopped since. They are one of the busiest and most popular bands on the scene today offering their clients not only top musicianship and an enthusiastic, high energy show but also a totally flexible line-up designed to cater for all sizes of venue and budget.

They can be hired as anything from a five-piece right down to a trio and, because of their clever mix of live vocals and instruments with backing tracks (digitally recorded by them in their own studio), their clients are always guaranteed a full-band sound even when space or budget can't accommodate the whole band.

The core of the band features both male and female lead and backing vocals, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, 2 x alto saxophones and a tenor sax. Add to this any combination of a truly superb lead guitarist and/or another great female vocalist/dancer and you have a band designed specifically for your taste and budget.

They play all your favourite hits from the 60's to the 00's featuring artists such as Anastacia, Robbie Williams, Shania Twain, Kylie Minogue, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, James Brown, The Monkees, The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Diana Ross, Elton John, Abba, Jamiroquai, The B52's, Ricky Martin, Frank Sinatra, Blondie, Stevie Wonder and the list goes on.... ensuring that there's something there for everyone!

The band have played at venues from private marquees and small hotels right up to headlining an event at Wembley Arena! Recent clients include Nigel Mansell (50th Birthday Party), Brian May (of Queen fame), Richard Branson, The Institute of Directors and stars from the Eastenders cast to name but a few.

The band has a huge repertoire encompassing most musical tastes from Swing and Dinner Jazz through Pop covers from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's together with a little Funk, Soul and some beautiful ballads.

A typical performance is for up to 2 hours of music

"Where shall I start.... The solo sax through dinner was amazing it just added that little bit extra to the meal and was the talk of the hall. Evening Star turned up and not only sounded amazing but looked it too! The whole image and sound fitted in perfectly. I didnt want to go for a disco so I thought a band would be the best bet and when I heard the demo CD I was just so impressed i thought you were the real thing! So I knew you would be good. All my guests were commenting on the band all night and from the photographs I can honestly say it was a great night - so thank you. 10 out of 10. I will be reccommending you to all of my friends......"
Katy Westwood

"Just a quick note to say thanks very much indeed for the great performance on Saturday. We had a great time and with the added bonus of the proposal, a real night to remember. If you don't mind I will contact you soon, with a few dates during the summer for another gig."
Dave

"Thank you so much for giving us a fantastic evening last night. we have had many compliments to pass onto you and everyone seems to have had a great time. It was excellent to see that at one point everyone in the room was up dancing - not seen that often at parties. So please thank all the band for us - and we will certainly keep you in mind again."
Jill

"Our wedding day absolutely was everything we could have hoped for and you guys really were amazing. It is not just us that thinks that - you should see how many mentions you get in the thank you letters Mum and Dad have received! I can't thank you enough for playing and playing and playing - great song after great song - you just didn't stop! That dance floor was one of the fullest I have ever seen at a wedding - I know our friends like to dance but think the combination of your fab music, the time of night and where we positioned the dance floor meant they had no choice! I am sorry (and amazed) that you didn't seem to take a break once you started after dinner but Mum says you all said you were having too much fun to stop! You must have been exhausted afterwards! I will particularly remember our first dance which you sang beautifully, YMCA of course - that was classic - and the "Dirty Dancing" spectacular which was a lot of fun! We could hear "New York New York" as we were getting changed too! Mum and Dad were actually very anti us having a band when we originally said we would like one but none of their fears (loads of punks playing stuff they wouldn't know too loud) were needed - you couldn't have been more perfect! Exactly what we had dreamed of! Do please pass on our thanks to the other guys in the band! If you ever want to provide a reference for you please don't hesitate to give my email address to people and I'll happily rave on about you all!."
